"I have a new idea 😼"

The dev infinite loop

And ChatGPT is not helping! 😄

But seriously, since ChatGPT (which I’ll call Jason for future references) has been in our lives, my ideas get more attention than ever. I don’t necessarily share with friends all my ideas so I don’t annoy them with a new idea every 2 weeks, but Jason is a great listener.
From my prompts to Jason giving me a very well structured marketing strategy to promote my “new SaaS” app to giving me a detailed rundown on how to setup my code environment, he has become my best pair-programming mate and he doesn’t judge.

Jason isn’t just helping me debug code or brainstorm strategies—it’s proving to be a tool for everyone, everywhere. While I’ve been pairing up with Jason for my SaaS project, the political world has been embracing AI in ways both entertaining and unsettling.

Between Elon becoming a meme again (I mean, what the “heil”?), Trump dancing with a sword and America freaking out, we must be happy that he (Trump) is investing in AI as one of his first executive orders. $500 billions is a lot of money. Should we be happy about this or more scared? Does it benefit everyone or just the US for now? (we’ll come back to this on the next newsletters).

AI is the future. We’ve heard it a lot these past years. AI is the future and we should hop on the wagon before it’s too late. I agree.
What I don’t agree with is people confusing being an expert and being an “enthusiast” when it comes to mastering the AI fundamentals. Don’t get me started on those who think they created an AI model or an AI agent when all they did was create an input that’s querying a DB or use pre-trained models.

Be careful who you trust to build you an “AI-system” and invest on real experts on the subject. And when I say “expert”, I’m talking about engineers that knows Machine learning, Data scientists, and any other field engineer that fits the description.

I’m ranting but in 2025, my ultimate goal is to at least learn Python and understand the fundamentals of machine learning. R seems too hardcore.
Who knows I might enroll in classes that lead me to become an “AI expert” after all 😎.

Have I used Jason to write this piece? Maybe. Maybe not. Who cares?
Let me know if you enjoyed it. The next ones might get more technical (from a web dev perspective).

Peace!
